Newsletter Subscription and Removal
HTML Form for Newsletter Subscription and Removal
Adding a subscribe form could not be easier with MailList
Controller. The program contains a built-in form tool, which creates HTML
form and the php-script for you. The form is based on HTML and php, which ensures
that the form will work on most servers without any problems. The script
gathers the form submission and sends the input from the user to the lists email
address. The program receives the subscribe/remove request during the next list
If you are looking for a more sophisticated web form (e.g. with a captcha in it) , then you can use our software Arclab Web Form Builder.
How to start?
Please click on "HTML Web Form Generator" in the section "Mailing Lists" and follow the instructions on the screen.
What kind of forms can I create?
The form generator allows you to create forms for "Subscribe", "Remove" and a combination of both. You don't need to worry about any settings, the html web form generator will pick the correct settings directly from your "List Settings". The form can also be used to populate your custom fields for personalization, which makes it ideal for data gathering.
HTML Source File and php-Script
Add the text AMLC-WEBFORM at the desired position, e.g. with your web editor and select the HTML file in the program. Simply type in AMLC-WEBFORM - there is no complicated coding required. Click on "Select HTML File" and select the file on your local hard-disk. If the file is already online on your webserver, then please download the file - e.g. using FTP - first.
Result-Page and Appearance of the Form
Finally you can change the appearance of the form and define what page should be shown after the user has submitted the information. This should be some kind of "thank you" page, so that the user knows that the subscription (or removal) has worked.
Upload the HTML and the PHP-File
Finally upload both files to your web (e.g. using FTP) and test it. Fill out the form using your own email address and click on "Subscribe". Now run MailList Controller and synchronize (click on "Sync"). The program will synchronize by default every 60 minutes (this can be changed in the "Options") or when you click on "Sync".
